4th Annual Romanian American Heritage Festival
Saturday, 8 May 2010

A local mall's sign helped to advertise the event to the general public. The men start grilling the delicious mititei...a big hit at festivals each year! "Transylvania" Orchestra provided the music for the day, along with talented vocalist Bogdan Filimon.
The souvenirs table is always a big hit... ...including special "Romania" themed T-shirts and other items. Of course, the delicious made-from-scratch baked goods were popular.
The "Mioiţa" Dance Ensemble from Chicago entertained everyone throughout the day. Glad to be under the tent out of the rain, these volunteers are ready to take orders at the grill. And these volunteers are ready at the tap room.
Members of the Youth Group organized games (between rain showers)... ...and also provided face painting.
And the grillers continue on!
There was plenty of help at the tap room ticket-selling table. Another dance performance.
People join in the dancing. Friends showing off costumes from Sibiu.
The lines for food from the kitchen seemed never-ending. Guided tours of the church also took place through the day. Fr. Horaţiu leading a group, explaining the Orthodox Church and the history of our parish.
And another energetic dance performance!
