A local mall's sign helped to advertise the event to the general public. The tent is up and ready to go Saturday morning.

The men at the grills get a head-start before the lunch time rush... ...as do the ladies in the kitchen.
Ticket sellers awaiting guests. The bar is ready to serve a variety of imported wine, beer and mineral water. Sarmale (stuffed cabbage rolls) are packaged for a take-out order.

The day's entertainment began with music from the famous "Transilvania" Orchestra from Cleveland, Ohio. The crowd then turns their attention to the dancers.

The "Doina" Folkloric Ensemble from Canton, Ohio presented a total of three performances during the festival.
Kitchen volunteers get together for a quick photo at one of the two stations... ...and at the other. Meanwhile, the grills are still going...
...and going... ...as they keep selling... ...and selling!
Finally, a short break for the camera. Attendees were also treated to a large selection of home-made baked goods at the bake sale. Sellers take a break for a photo.
Kids had a great time in the giant bounce-house... ...and with the face/body painting courtesy of our
A.R.O.Y. Chapter.
Also providing music was the locally renown "Dacia" Orchestra featuring soloist Ana Maria Brandea. Our parish bookstore also had a table where people could buy books, icons, and other religious and Romanian artifacts, as well as watch a video slide show of photos from Romania. Romania-themed t-shirts and aprons were also a big hit.
The dancers return for another energetic and entertaining performance.
Soloists from the "Doina" Ensemble also treated the audience to traditional folk songs between dance performances.

Music and dancing continued into the night.
