"Lyrics of Faith" A.R.O.Y. Mini-Retreat
Saturday, 12 April 2008

The retreat, hosted by our parish's A.R.O.Y. Chapter, began with an introduction by the retreat leader, Fr. Dusan Koprivica. Teens attended from our parish, St. George Cathedral in Southfield, and our next-door neighbors, St. Paul Macedonian- Bulgarian Cathedral. The attendees who were present at the beginning pose for a photo with Fr. Dusan, Fr. Romey Rosco (host parish priest) & Fr. Laurence Lazar (Dean, Michigan Deanery).
The blindfold activity begins... Everyone had to go toward the music that best represented to them various specified emotions.
Fr. Dusan discusses the choices everyone made.
The discussion continued back in the classroom. One of the groups presenting the song they composed. Fr. Horaţiu Balanean (assistant priest) leading Great Vespers.
During the service, Fr. Romey heard confessions. Fr. Dusan blesses the food. Pizza brought a smile to just about everyone's face after a busy afternoon.
The day ended with a game of "Stump the Priest."
