Romanian American Heritage Festival

The program of events welcomed guests. Those in attendance had the option of socializing either in the hall or outside under a tent. Elena Polocoseri, Teo Vingarzan & Eugenia Poroch selling Mititei and other favorites from the outdoor grill.

A couple of the classrooms were transformed into a small museum for the weekend. Costumes, dolls, rugs and other Romanian items were on display. A re-creation of a bed as would be found in a typical village home.
As part of the cultural displays, Mary Patyna demonstrated the craft of decorating Easter eggs. Religious items on display.

Other Romanian foods were also served from the kitchen.
The "Dacia" Orchestra performing. Special guest performer Lia Lungu makes a grand entrance as she delights the audience with her beautiful songs.
Also joining "Dacia" for the day was the popular musician Gheorghe Trambitas.
The "Romanasul" Ensemble of Detroit presented a fashion show of Romanian costumes.
Directors of the group, Dsa. Ramona Pop and Psa. Anita Lazar, read the introductions in both English & Romanian.

Dancing and fellowship continued into the night.
