Divine Liturgy & Ladies Auxiliary 74th Anniversary Dinner
Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of Bishop IRINEU

The clergy greet Bishop IRINEU at the entrance of the church. "Blessed is the Kingdom..."

The Little Entrance. Censing the church and the faithful during the Cherubic Hymn.

"Let us who mystically portray the cherubim and sing the thrice-holy hymn to the Life-giving Trinity now lay aside all earthly cares..." "May the Lord God remember your episcopacy in His Kingdom always, now and ever and unto ages of ages."

"May the Lord God remember all of you Orthodox Christians in His Kingdom always, now and ever and unto ages of ages." His Grace blesses the faithful.
During the Creed. "Let us lift up our hearts." The choir leading the responses.

"Peace be to all." "Holy Things are for the Holy!" His Grace distributes Communion to the faithful.

During the service, a Memorial Service (Parastas) was offered in memory of deceased members of the parish Ladies Auxiliary. "Among the saints, O Christ, rest the souls of your servants..."

Immediately following the Liturgy, a Service of Thanksgiving (Te Deum) was offered on the occasion of Bishop IRINEU's 5th Anniversary since consecration to the episcopacy. His Grace IRINEU reading the Holy Gospel. Bishop IRINEU preaching after the services.

In addition to the Gospel of the day, His Grace reflected on his ministry here in America, saying that he feels this parish is like his family. V. Rev. Fr. Ioan Vulpe, a long-time friend of Bishop IRINEU, brought the greetings of Metropolitan VLADIMIR of Moldova, and bestowed on His Grace the distinction of the "Order of St. Stephen the Great".

The Banquet began with the opening prayer and blessing. Attendees were treated to traditional Romanian music on the harp and flute. Over 400 people enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship and delicious food.

During the meal, His Grace made his way throughout the hall, personally greeting each table.

Marcela Padurean and Marioara Lazar present a homemade "Doboş" tort to His Grace. The tort was served along with a number of other pastries baked by ladies of the parish. V. Rev. Fr. Romey Rosco, parish priest, introduces the guests and offers remarks.

Psa. Mary Ellen Rosco, Sunday School Director, presents His Grace with a package of congratulatory cards made by the children of the Sunday School. Rev. Fr. Horaţiu Balanean, assistant priest, offers remarks and best wishes to His Grace. Mrs. Virginia Moore, Ladies Auxiliary President, thanks the ladies of the parish for their continued support and offers congratulations and thanks to Bishop IRINEU.

Rev. Archdeacon David Oancea, Chancellor of the Episcopate, offers congratulations to His Grace and reads a letter of congratulations from His Eminence, Archbishop NATHANIEL who was unable to attend. Fr. Romey presents His Grace with a special gift on behalf of the Parish and Ladies Auxiliary. His Grace opens the gift to reveal a custom-made sterling silver engolpion featuring the icon of Sts. Peter & Paul designed for and found only in our church.
